The store is open
The rev B boards came back from assembly, passed the fixture, and are counted into stock as of this morning. The store on this site takes orders for Canada and the United States, and the same boards are listed on Tindie for anyone who prefers to buy there.
| Board | Price |
|---|---|
| Snowbird Feather 1S | CAD 59 |
| Snowbird Core 1S | CAD 49 |
| Snowbird 18650 | CAD 64 |
| Snowbird Pack | CAD 89 |
| Snowbird Lite 1S | CAD 34 |
Prices are in Canadian dollars. Tax is added at checkout where it applies.
What is in the box
A bare board in an anti-static bag inside a padded mailer, the pinout card, and the compliance insert. No cell. Nothing in the parcel is dangerous goods, so there is no lithium battery mark, no carrier restriction and no transport test; it ships as a small packet.
That is deliberate. Snowbird is the thing that makes a raw cell safe to build with, and which cell is your choice: a pouch cell with a thermistor lead, a bare 18650, a three-cell pack on an XT30, or a thionyl chloride bobbin cell on a clip. The chemistries page says what each board takes and what the chemistry jumper does.
Shipping
Canada: tracked, from British Columbia, by Canada Post. Two weight bands, so a single board and a handful of boards each pay the right rate.
United States: tracked, with duty prepaid. The de minimis exemption no longer applies to parcels from Canada, so duty is owed on every order; we collect it at checkout as part of the US shipping option and pay it before the parcel crosses, so nothing is owed at the door. The amount is the rate of the day for the boards' tariff classification and is shown as a line on the checkout page before you pay.
Nowhere else yet. The EU and the UK need a second compliance file, which is on the list.
Tindie
The same five boards, the same stock. Tindie reaches people who have not heard of us; this store is for people who read the documentation and came back. Prices are the same on both; the difference is who you pay.
Compliance
Every board with the Bluetooth module carries the module's ISED and FCC identifiers on its page and on the insert, and every board carries the ICES-003 and FCC Part 15 Class B statements from the test report. The insert also carries the supported chemistries, the temperature windows and the one line that matters most: no cell is supplied, and the chemistry jumper must match the cell before it is connected.
What happens next
The reference builds are live: the solar LoRa node, the LiFePO4 Home Assistant sensor and the ten-year LiSOCl2 sensor, each with a wiring card, a sketch and the power budget as measured. The Arduino library is in the Library Manager, the MicroPython package is on the index, and the register map is published so you can skip both if you want.
Orders placed this week ship Thursday. The incident form and the warranty terms are on the support page; if a board does something it should not, that is where to tell us, and the clock on our side starts when you do.
